Shar Joy Thought of the Day

Now that I have traveled for a few days I have to say I am happy to be at home.  I get sleepy when I am on the go 24/7.   On Monday I was in Saratoga, New York at  the races.  The smell of the horses is intoxicating and they are groomed, braided and have leather saddles polished and they exude confidence.  They are so discplined and well mannered that their refinement reminds me of an adult who is mature and flaunting it!  People who are mature are not blank pages,  take reasonable risks and no authorization needed.   I met interesting, devoted jockeys and one who is painting horses now that he doesn't ride and race anymore.  On Tuesday I went to the waterfalls and gorge in Ithaca, New York.  It was the Robert Treman park.  The upper waterfall was a great study.  The stairs and park were fashioned in the 1930's when the great depression had hit America.  It put people back to work and lifted the moral of many.  That is what we should be doing today, instead of ripping apart the earth, we should be honoring her heritage by rebuilding our parks.  It was exhilarating to climb so high and have an overview of the mountains laced with trees.  It was like being in a hot air balloon and skimming them.   I was following a path and the winding flow of the gorge and waterfalls, every so often a windy  breeze would arrive at the spot where the water fell.   It was natural air conditioning with the clean water cleansing the air.  The most fabulous moment was when a crackling noise spilled and echoed while shale and stone split from the land and splashed in the gorge.   Luckily I was on the other side and realized that few get to witness such an extra ordinary thing.  That stone could be millions of years old and for what ever reason the condition was right for it to move.  I feel closer to my creator when I am in nature, it is a blueprint to pattern myself after.  The irony is that the silence reminds me of my exuberance.  An act of pure integration.
